The purpose of this research was to examine the incidence of unbalanced chromosome rearrangements in blastocyst-stage embryos of individuals carrying pericentric inversion of chromosome 1 (PEI-1). Chromosome abnormalities, including unbalanced rearrangements and overall aneuploidy, were investigated in 98 embryos, derived from 22 PEI-1 inversion carriers.
